Out of the blue..
As is evident in the name of my blog... Sometimes I just have "Nothing to blog about"

It is exactly at these times that I resort to my mindless, silly, sophomoric humor. ( Ok.. in all fairness almost everything I write about has mindless, silly sophomoric humor) but that doesn't stop me from writing it.. nor should it stop you from reading it...


Over the holidays I posted alot of odd/silly vintage ads that I found... some were truly priceless.

Today for your viewing pleasure ( and as a public awareness gesture) I will share with you some other little ditties I found.... This ad is pretty typical.. I mean every guy SHOULD learn how to hypnotize their Wimmins.. You know.. so we can do their bidding.. be at their beck and call...... Wait a minute...

" Do your nerves stay up when you go to bed?"

Here I found the solution to my insomnia...Why didn't I think of Ovaltine ...?

It makes perfect sense that a " Cocoa flavored dairy drink" would knock me right out AND Calm my nerves..... Silly Silly me.

Of course... only in an effort to calm my nerves... I could always resort to swigging a beer down... Oh No... wait... that is for the Baby....." The malt in the beer supplies nourishing qualities that are essential at this time and the hops act as an appetizing stimulating tonic"

I see.. alrighty then let's move on.....

The next few ads are from World War II, all real and frankly.. I love them !!!!! I mean public service and admonishment all rolled into one.. it just doesn't get any better then this....
