Shanking it on the SPUI !!!

Wow... Two posts in one day.. Whoo Hoo !!!

Just wanted to say what a nice time we had with our friends J & S tonight.. after dinner we went out to Barnes and Noble for coffee... and one of the topics was about Odd and or Favorite/ Least Favorite words... Some of my favorites ( And I use them here when ever I can.... are ) Plethora, Cornucopia, Cerebral Cortex and Progeny...For some reason I dislike the words,

Gristel * although I think it describes the texture perfectly... and

Tar mac. * I don't know why I dislike Tar mac... it is just a bit irritating to me.... I know there are more.. I just can't think of them...

Tonight I learned a couple new words...

Shank: ( a severe mishot in which the golf ball is struck by the hosel of the club. On a shank, a player has managed to strike the ball with a part of the club other than the clubface. A shanked shot will scoot a short distance, often out to the right, or might be severely sliced or hooked) Huh ... who knew....and I always thought it was just a cut of meat ! Somehow this evening it began to take on some naughty overtones... ( That's why we like going out with J & S !) and

SPUI... which sounds kinda gross but means... Single Point Urban Interchange. It is a kind of round about that is quickly becoming popular in these parts...

. Too bad..because I am not a big fan... They are just so darn confusing.... I did not know that they had their own name.. If used in a sentence, it could be......

"If you are not careful you could go the wrong way on the SPUI ! ..."

I would use it another way...

"She made me laugh so hard.... I SPUI ed my milk out my nose "

but that's just how I would use it.. it sounds like it fits ... No?

Anyway.. We had a great time with J & S ... as always.. not only because they intellectually stimulate our cerebral cortex's... but because they offer a cornucopia of great topics as well as offering a plethora of fun .
