My Mamma is the epitome of a "Older" Italian woman... You know just like the spaghetti sauce commercals you see.. cute Italian accent, cooking for the "famiglia" cheek pinching, St Anthony praying, slide some money in your pocket typical "Nonna" or in our case "Nana"EVERYONE... and I mean EVERYONE ... loves her... I mean who wouldn't?.... Strong, Hardworking, Give it all for the family kinda gal that she is... So it is only with GREAT LOVE that I will tease her here... not to poke fun at her...but to share the wealth of what a very traditional (and slightly hard of hearing) matriarch can give to us all... some will be funny... some just plain common sense. That's my Mamma.....

Grace in small things is a challenge.
"You are hereby challenged to find the joy in small things, because life is short and love is large."
*Everyday for a year... You are asked to list five positive things.
Why? "Grace in small Things exists because we are choosing not to allow the noisiness of life to rob us of the time and engery to be mindful of ourselves and those we love and to recognize the grace that exists in small things."

It's the simple things in life that are the best.....church buddies, coffee, a Sunday afternoon ride with your spouse, a beautiful day and pizza......
I look forward to many of these same things in 2010 :) Thanks for helping me remember the little things!!!!
