Christmas Tour... Part I

Well.. I FINALLY got the tree up !!!!

and it only took me three hours... !!! Whoo Hoo !!! Let me tell you... I am getting too old to be lugging this thing up from the basement..
I am afraid it won't be long and I will be setting up The Tree Top ONLY !

I have to admit though..
Once it's all done.... I do love to just sit in the family room with all the lights off or down.. and just stare at how pretty everything looks...

So today once I was finished putting everything up and or away... I thought I'd take a few pictures ... not only for your curiosity.. (I mean aren't we ALL curious about how people fix up their houses?.... especially at Christmas) but mainly for Marty and Melissa .. who won't be with us this year...
THIS... bums me out ..... ALOT...

So I figured they could get a little glimpse of home...
It's all the same stuff I always put out.. but maybe that's why it will mean something... Let me take you on Part One of the tour...

First we have the kitchen table center piece... this thing really is a hodge podge of left overs... the Berrys are actually an old wreath.. sitting in a dish I use all year round.. the flowers are also from an old centerpiece that used to have a hurricane globe that broke.... I now use the red candle holder in the center... another piece that is out all year round...
( We make do )

Here we have our little reindeer... These little guys were once Christmas card holders.. there were long almost tree like wires for showcasing your cards.. but they could never hold all the cards we got.. so I took them off...and kept the deer...
This fine fellow was a gift from a dear friend.. I like him alot..
and for several reasons..
1. He was a gift from a dear friend..
2.He is different kind of Santa... He is.....Tall ... Thin... All White.. Not your typical Santa.
3. He is actually a wine bottle cover...
Yes .. That's right.. Old St Nick has a few tricks up his sleeve and a bottle of Cabernet under his dress

This little guy is hanging on the side of my fridge.. Although technically an ornament.. he never makes it to the tree.. I like him hanging around the fridge..
This year.. he is schlepping Mamma's dried hot peppers.. I think I will name him Felix Navidad...

You may remember this area from the Halloween pictures..
Well.. now we have our mantel all Christmasy... as well as our stockings hung up with care...

The snowman family.. ( Which I will have a better picture of soon) as well as the Burgundy Christmas balls.. (A must have in any home...)

This little guy has Burgundy balls on the brain .... so to speak.. He is actually a tea light holder
And is ... another gift from a friend... ( what can I say... I have nice friends..lol )

Yet another cute gift... this one from Maria... I just love this little thing when it is lit...
The bottle of 2buck chuck also helps things get lit... but then that is another story...

Here's Skinny Santa again... Did I mention that just like the infamous Scared Heart picture that many Italian's have in their homes.. You know.. the one that looks like Jesus' eyes are following you where ever you go in the room....
Well.. I somtimes ....sorta get that same odd feeling from skinny Santa..
Hmmm...
Maybe it's old fashion F. I . C. guilt... or Maybe it's just the 2 buck Chuck?
We may never know.....
