Let's get this party started

This is going to be a two parter.
SATURDAY :
The fun and frolic bagan on Saturday morning.....

Maria got up early so we could get as much in as we could ... First our Pedicure...
(We weren't going to have time for both a mani and pedi...) But it did'nt matter.... it was heavnely...

I kinda felt bad for my gal...
MY dogs were...Nastay..
I won't even post a pic ...they were that bad..
But Hey...... Now they are loverly !!!!

BUT WAIT.. there was more !!!
We went to the mall and headed straight for the the
M.A.C counter..... We both purchased one of my favorite purfumes.... Turquatic...
(Can you see the weeping buddha next to the bottle???... he is weeping for pure joy over this stuff.. he and I both !!! )

OH MAN !!!... How I love it !!!!

While we were there.. we saw this great ad from another company...

This..................................> may just become my new motto.....




We also caroused around my other favorite .... The Philosophy counter... But....we walked away quickly .. it was all too tempting.

From there we went to the mausoleum that my father is in...
It was good to sit there for a bit to laugh and cry just remembering him...
Thankfully it isn't as gut wrenching now when we go.. and for the most part we are able to remember all the funny, happy things.. and laugh trough our tears.. But man we sure do miss him...



Maria was kind enough to indulge her poor old Mother by stopping in with me at Trader Joe's...
Not typically her favorite place... but one of mine..
I was only going to go in and look around and $51 dollars later..we were outta there...
To reward her for her kindness..A McDonald's Ice cream cone.... and a Sweet Tea for me.

(Man.. Sweet Tea......another favorite of mine.. and they were only a $1 a piece........ I know I know... I am such a big spender !!! )

Maria had made arrangements to have her hair trimmed... so I accompanied her to my brother and sister in law's house..

She is coming off as far far too nice.....Ha !)


We actually got a lot in for those few hours... and like I have said before...
Any time I spend with her is great !!! Thanks Again Peanut.. I had a great time.

Alas.. my daughter does have a life...and made plans for the evening.. so we kiss kissed and she was off...


Fortunately I still have Mr R to keep me occupied... and he had a great idea..
He wanted to take in an early movie.. his suggestion was Disney's UP

People... This was such a good movie.... I didn't expect it.. but I cried.... I can't give away why... but it was just so touching.
Just an over all feel good movie. It doesn't matter if you 8 yrs old or 80 you will LOVE this movie !!

Then as if the day weren't already going along better then ever.. Mr R suggested going to a great Middle Eastern Restaurant in town...
Ummm Helllloooo... Hummus Chicken.... can you say Wonderful !!??

By the end of the evening.. I was on happy overload.... but ready to call it a day...

It was really terrific spending time with some of my favorite people... but Sunday was around the corner... and there was much more to come !!!!

Damn The Torpedo's.... Full Speed Ahead !!!!

Well the count down till my Birthday officially begins !!!! .....

Maria is treating me to a manicure AND ...... Pedicure !!! I am so excited... because.....my poor feets are in really really bad shape...

Not to mention ......

It is always fun spending time with her...

Sunday the entire gang is going to meet for lunch at our local fav Italian Restaurant.... Where we will stuff our faces with some great food... then come back here for more stuffing ... in the form of Cake and Ice Cream...

I will try to get some pictures up ... although sometimes we are so into the moment of all being together we don't get as many snapshots in as I'd like...

Then as everyone packs up and heads for home... I often end up sitting here wondering where did all the time go... and why didn't we think to take more pics...

Yeah... I've been wondering that alot lately....

"Where does all the time go?"...

I mean it seems like yesterday my kids were so little....and now... they are both getting married !!!!!
What the......?????

Over all...... I would say I am doing ok for a lady who is turning....

I know .. I have put on some weight... ok.. ok.. alot of weight...

I just never took off the baby fat from having my kids... I hear it take some time... you know like 23 years.. and sure my poor chest like the rest of my body needs alittle more support... ( When did they become Torpedo's??? )...and yes.... my face has a few more lines...

but thankfully mostly from laughing...

(Amazingly my hair has stayed so youthful looking.. I can't say how that is????)

Over all....I just pray that I stay as happy and healthy as I am right now....

other then that, all I can say is

I cleaned out my Garage !!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think you can fully understand the immense impact this will have on mankind..

(or at least my kindman)

It was One Hot MESS !!! NO NO...not THAT kind of Hot Mess...This kind of Hot Mess...

It was Hot and Messy trying to clear out and organize all the crapola in that space....

I still have some stuff to get rid of ... but over all it looks SOOOOO much better...

I don't know where I am getting the energy to do some of these projects lately, but I am going to go with it while it lasts..

My Nephew D... Is graduating from Kindergarten...

Yes.. it is quite a milestone...and Mamma will be attending the Gala affair...

Because I am unexpectedly haveing my Gal Pals over from church. (The gal that was supposed to host has some Health issues going on in her family... : (

So.....I offered to have the get together here .... That means I need to run out and get some Treaty Weetys..

Who knows.. we might even have it in the Garage !!!!

Each cast in such an unflattering stereotypical light.

They all comes off as Tough,Cat Fighting,Backstabbing,Overindulgent, Pampered,Shady, Gaudy, Euro Trendy, Over the top, Rough you up,

"I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse"

Gumba ish.... Caricatures

I realize it is all edited this way to make for good Reality T.V. viewing... but sometimes I can't help but cringe at some of the things said and done on this show...

On the one hand it trys to show the closeness of many Italian / American families... but why do they have to sound like Sonny Corleone when they do it?
Not to mention....some of the sexual innuendos are a bit much even for me...I am no prude by any means and I get that it is done for the shock value but still ... Ewwww

On the other hand ... Just like you shouldn't laugh when someone falls down... or.... laugh in church when someone farts... Come On.. You just can't help it...

Some of the stuff that goes on ... is too freakin funny....

There is something to be said for a show that on occasion makes me groan out loud.. either because it is so stupid, gross, or ridiculous.

When personalities are SO over the top that you think.. She CAN'T Be for real.. until realize ..you know someone just like her...only with a little less money...and Botox

The Outlandishly Rich... Money is no option Stage Mom.. who thinks her kids are the next best thing since the virgin birth..

The Spoiled Diva who casts judgement on who is IN... and who is OUT... making herself feel better by giving the ICE treatment to those she feels are Beneath her.

The Newly rich.... Passive... aggressive.. always in the middle of every ones drama but just can't say No.. because she wants to be" liked" Gal..

Or

The First born, You will do it MY WAY... I don't care if you like or not ...I am always right... Street smart... Enforcer...

(And NO !!!! I do not see my self in this last character ONE BIT !!! Thank You very much !!!!)

I don't know...Just like one can't help but stand by the road and watch a train wreck... I can't help but sit and watch this show..

It 's a gloomy day in the neighborhood..and it didn't help that I was rudely awaken by the sound of thunder...
At first I thought Mr R was rushing around getting ready for work... but as I came to my senses, I realized that it was merely the sound of an early morning thunder shower....

Just couldn't sleep any longer... so as of the time of this writing... (8:14 AM )

I have made the bed,cleaned up the breakfast dishes, started a load of clothes,gone for a walk, straightedned out the pantryvacumed and dusted. And taken a Shower

.I still have the bills to look at but will do that this afternoon.

Man I'm exhusted...

Once Mamma gets a move on here... we will probably head out to do some banking and shopping...

You know.... Sometimes I have to laugh when people say......

Oh you stay at home.. What do you do all day?
