Thank You! ... Thank You !.. Thank You ! ...

Yesterday's gathering of gals went quite well.. and SO productive! Here's a little glimpse of what awaited them
YIKES !!!!!

You may be wondering... what in the heck is all this about?

Traditionally we Italians will give out small gifts called "Bomboniere" .

5 almonds tucked into pretty boxes or tulle bags and a small tag with the couples names and wedding date.

The almonds signify 5 wishes for the bride and groom of:

Health

Wealth

Happiness

Fertility

&

Longevity.

We had quite a lot of Bomboniere to do..

So we invited some family members over to help get the first batch started...

Future Sister in law and Mother in law hard at work...

Childhood friend and Aunt working their fingers to the bone...Even poor Nana was put to work..( Who knew that a seam ripper was so versatile ! )Everyone had a job to do...and they did it well...Our taskmaster...These little work horses were so good in fact... that we finished them all in about an hour!!!

Not now THAT is efficient !!!

All their labor was rewarded with lots of food.. drink .. lively conversation.....

and princess rings..

Yes... cupcakes with Disney Princess rings on them...

(parting gifts for all their help.)

Not to mention a great memory...

Round 2.

(Yes....We still have to order about 50 more)

This round will include help from some of the other bridesmaids.

Because.....let's face it.. we need an excuse to have another party!

Now if you will excuse me...
(Even though Mr R removed about 5 inches of snow this morning before leaving for work.)

I have to go and clear the additional 20 inches of snow that has accumulated in the short time I have been writing.. (OK.. so maybe I exaggerated a bit,but still ..there's alot of flipping snow out there!!! )
