Shoes are like People AND/OR

People are Like shoes....

They come in all shapes and sizes...

Take for instance a pair of shoes you really really like.. but every time you have contact with them... They hurt You.

But you LOVE them!!!!

You have alot invested in them .. and the thought of not having them in your life just kills you..

Kills you that is until.... you slip them on and are all too soon reminded of why you cannot wear them.

Despite ALL your efforts... Band aidsCushionsand healing Balms...

EVERY time you come in contact with those shoes.. you end up in pain.

People are the same..

In spite of Band aids of words after a fight...

Scars are still there...

No matter how much things are cushioned....

Often misunderstandings happen...

Words and actions are taken the wrong way..

feelings get hurt...even using time as a balm to heal those wounds..

That part of you becomes hardened.. and no salve will make it the same.

What about hanging on to them for sentimental value?
Meh maybe..

But the reality is....... it's best to admire those shoes/people from afar..

Sometimes it's best to forget about them all together..

A gift to others who are a better fit...

One thing is for sure... Shoes like people don't really change... Shoes.. like People.. are what they are...

It's just how they're made.
