Finding a New Normal...

Had my monthly dinner out with the gals and it was a fun night as usual... Nothing like getting together with your gal pals to make you feel zippy...
(In case you're wondering... I'm the zippy one in the middle )

Speaking of feeling Zippy...

I got a call from Maria.. You know just to check up and see how things were going.. I asked how things were at her end.. and she said she was very happy...
You know.. newly married and in that Newlywed Bliss.....

But the reality is... Things are a changing.

Lets face it.... we are both going through quite an adjustment...

In some ways it is probably much harder for her than me..

I mean at least I am in the same house same surroundings... with generally the same routine..

She on the other hand is exhausted .. back to work and trying to balance all the new things in her life... work AND the upkeep of the home...

She has had to find a new normal.

As for me I am dealing with things exceptionally well I think...

I mean the pangs of sadness come only twice a day instead of hourly...

( Just kidding.. Sorta )

In fact she commented how she was surprised how much work went into keep up a home..

YEAH...NOT SO EASY.. is it?

It's amazing how fast things pile up.
Good thing Mike helps out with the laundry..otherwise it could get UGLY !!

But there is so much more to keeping up the house...

There is Bed Making
Although from what I hear THAT is becoming a lost art

The Tub

Of course the Toilet ....
Grocery Shopping...Than actually preparing the food... And General picking up and cleaning...But Maria is all gun ho and ready to give it the old Freshman try.
Like everything she does... she gives it her all...

Luckily they are young.. In love... and happy to be together.

Ahhh Young Romantic Love...

As far as the day to day routine... She'll get used it...
