Tiny Bubbles... or ... Daddy needs a Snack !

So.. I woke this morning and found THIS... at the top of Joe Pesci's bowl... Tiny foam like bubbles..



I mean all I could think of is ... What the... I think he was a little embarrassed by my intense gawking..
Ya gotta love the Internet... if for no other reason you can get quick easy answers to your burning questions.. Like why are there tiny bubbles at the top of your Betta's bowl?... and I found out that it's a good thing.. a sign your Betta is happy and even ready to mate..

You see, in the wild, male betta fish make these lovely bubble nests and then when a female comes along, there’s a tribal dance routine with a lot of flashing of his fins and when she’s suitably impressed, she will spawn and he will fertilise the eggs as they are laid. Then, the loving daddy that he is, he will pick up those eggs in his mouth and place them in his bubble nest. That’s the end of their brief interlude together and just as the black widow spider will turn on the male after relations, so will the male betta turn on the female if she doesn’t turn tail and make herself scarce! The male beta fish will then care for the eggs till they hatch…after which he may choose to devour some of his young…so much for paternal love hey? Wow.. it all sounds kind of intense No?

I mean all of us who have had children have had days when they are driving us out of our ever loving minds.. and we might jokingly say..

" Oh my gosh... I'm gonna kill this kid"..

But come on.. actually making them an appetizer is a bit much !

So much Drama last night on the Real Housewives of New Jersey!!! Then.... This morning waking up to this..

All this Violence...I tell you it takes alot out of you...
For now it's good to know that there will be no little Betta's swimming around in fear for their lives... It's just a relief to know that Joe Pesci is happy and healthy.. and apparently the throws of Puberty...

I only wish Charlie Gibson would find the same kind of Happiness...
