Word on the street is that the new season of MTV's Jersey Shore will premiere tonight..
Now....I have never watched it myself...
But I watch enough Ryan and Giuliana know that these over the top Guidos and Guidettes have had their fair share of News blips and shenanigans featured all over the media.


I also know enough about this crew to know that they don't exactly portray Italian's in a super awesome way..
Meh .....

Maybe it's because they are young..good looking.... Like to drink.. Party... and cavort and of course show off that over the top Jersey look..

Let me tell you....

My generation of Italians would NEVER do that...You know..Be all muscle bound and flashy with that cheesy over the top Goombah Look..Fugetaboutit !!!

More Visitors to T.M.M.C.

Yes Mamma had some more visitors !!!

This time it was long time friends and indirect relatives..

Eddie and Loretta !!!

( Eddie is actually Cousin Virginia's Uncle .. her mother's Brother )
So they are my cousin's Aunt and Uncle but not mine.. or something like that... You know how it is.. if you are Italian it doesn't matter..Somehow... everyone is related to you !






They all had a great visit...A little bite to eat..and....

Discussed important matters...

With all the Estrogen in the room....

Eddie was a bit outnumbered.. but handled it well...

(They are both in their 80's !!!!! )

They really made Mamma and I very happy with their visit..
But before we knew it ...a couple of hours had passed and it was time to say good bye..
But not before leaving with a little bit of Oregano...

I was invited to a Cookie Lee Party...

I may have been to a Cookie Lee Party a LONG time ago... But it was nothing like this one... Cookie Lee is a company that sells Costume Jewelry. and Not Cookies.. This made me a little sad..
I mean Sara Lee sells cakes and pies.. made sense to me that Cookie Lee was...

Cookies.

Oh well.. I didn't let this little fact stop me from going because as my cousin Virginia will tell you.. I love a good party..

This..was our host... my sister in law Nancy....( She cleans up really nice doesn't she?)
This is her friend Sylvia... She is thinking of becoming a Cookie Lee Rep..The gal on the right is Dana..She is a Cookie Lee Rep...I don't know who the gal on the left is but rumor has it that she wandered in from the street....when she overheard there was Sangria being served at this party. In addition to jewelry Dana had scarves... ALL KINDS of scarves.But the main event of the night was the vast quantity of very pretty jewelry.
Oh the other main event was the GLORIOUS food that was served . Mrs G ... was ready to Parrrty. As were Nancy's Cousin and Aunt... Mamma greeting Miss Emily
as Kendra ( in the blue) and Susan were chatting with Sangria lady.Nancy being the hostess with the mostess.. Greeted Maria's Mother in Law Perky Peggy. As well as Maria's sister in law Jen...
At first many of the ladies were a bit overwhelmed with all the baubles in front of them..
It boggled the mind..But... before you knew it.. The ladies cut loose.. and dove right in..

Literally Hmmm looks like Lori struck up a conversation with S. L. ( Sangria Lady )Speaking of Lori..She finally got to hang with every one's favorites...

Gertie..

You see....While Lori was living in England.. she was having actual Gertie withdrawals...

It wasn't pretty. I would have to say both these ladies are crowd favorites...As the free for all went on.. Mamma said a prayer and crossed her fingers.. for Lesley...

But Lesley wasn't too worried.. After all...she came prepared and brought her own small posse... Her daughters Courtney and Emmers..Nancy :

Ugh.. the nerve.. The scary part is... I think they might actually be thinking about this new arraignment...

I tell you.. No loyalty at all..In the mean time... The night proved to be great.. and as the crowds thinned out.. Maria had a sit with some of her favorite people... Jen.. and her Godmother also known as Aunt Ya YaLori has been gone a long time... but made a new friend in Barb.. Good Choice Lori.. good choice.From the looks of it.. the Party was a BIG .. BIG success..
