MARCH 8th : WINDOW

People I’m telling ya.. I don’t know if you’re out there or not …

Well..OK Lori.. I know you’re out there cause you actually comment ; )

To be honest it doesn’t really matter if or who may be seeing this…Because…. so far….I am actually really liking this Photo a day challenge.. It’s forcing me out of my comfort zone. I mean I have to actually LOOK for and AT things so much more intently.

In the process I am finding that in most cases it’s not hard at all to find the subject of the day… ( Now watch I probably just jinxed myself)

In fact it seems that once I get going on a subject,I am having a harder time sticking to just one Photo.I guess that’s a good problem to have.

The bad part of this at least for today… is.. I ended up running around town locally and into downtown Plymouth .

Three hours later and several dollars down… I got my pictures and a couple of odds and ends I probably could have done without….. ugh.

(* Damn You Cute shops !!! )

A trip to the library brought me right to my first Photo of a window or in this case windows.

Our towns Historical Society Building. ( I believe it used to be a Church or School )

Such beautiful detail… I would have never seen, had I not walked up to this building and snapped this shot.DSC_0448

I found myself thinking about who the people were that built and used this building were.. and what life was like then… I couldn’t go in because it was closed… but I do think I will take the time to go back sometime…It makes me want to find out more about the history.

I meandered down to Old Village as well…DSC_0455

This fine old Purple painted building is now a upscale micro brewery.DSC_0454

Here we have ….One of Downtown’s oldest Churches First Presbyterian Church.

Love the way the door arch mimic's the window arch.

How’s this for Fancy Dancy.DSC_0459

This old house is one of my absolute favorites!!! and not JUST because it is right across the street from the ice cream shop either.

It is just a gem of a house….. Oh what I would do to be able to get a look see in there..If anyone reading this knows the current owners, and can hook me up to get a gander. … I would pay a quarter and but them a cupcake.

I think I heard or read somewhere that a long time ago the owner of the Daisy company You know the makers of the A-Christmas-Story-movie-02

Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle!” built and lived in this house…

It is still one of the grandest homes in town!

I could have wandered all over town snapping pictures.. but as fate would have it.. I do have responsibilities .. big big issues to attend to .. You know not one.. not two.. but 3 toilets that’s right count them… that need scrubbing..

I know I know.. It’a glamorous life I lead.. Don’t be jealous.

As I wandered back to my car… just missing that pesky meter patrolman… ( after my ticket last year I still shoot him dirty looks.. however I have a feeling he may be thinking I just have a lazy eye ) anyway.. as I was getting into my car I looked up and saw this window.. Yes it is quite a bit different than all the others.. modern … utilitarian.. even plain..but I still think it’s beautiful in it’s own way…

and THAT is why I am really really happy that I decided to partake in this little adventure… Now wish me luck in keeping it going !!!
